We are open 24hours, 7 days-a-week, however entry is only available between 6am & 8pm. You can obviously leave at any time.
No, you do not.
All the lakes are available on a first come, first served day & night ticket basis.
Occasionally the Moat and Park Lakes are booked for matches, please see “Bookings”.
The Osiers is also occasionally booked for exclusive group sessions (see “Bookings”).
Once you’ve arrived and found your preferred swim, the Bailiff will issue you your ticket on the bank, please ensure you retain it, as there are several Bailiffs.
You just need to let him know when you arrived and when you’re planning to leave.
Basically as long as you like.
Please let the Bailiff know your plans when he issues you your ticket.
There are no credit/debit card facilities.

Yes, you’re welcome to call us during normal office hours, including Saturdays, on 01245 231010.
In a genuine emergency, please call emergency services and, if outside normal office hours, please leave a message on 01245 231010 and a member of staff will be alerted.
As we’re primarily a day/night ticket lake, we cannot predict how busy we’ll be.
However, based on 30 years’ experience, there are always swims available on all the lakes.
There is ample close-by parking.
Please ensure you only park in the designated area – See “Lake Layout”
Yes. You’re welcome to have one non-fishing attendee with you who will not be charged.
However, any additional guests will be charged as anglers.
This is to deter just “camping” as we’re a fishery, not a campsite or country park.
Yes, you’re welcome to use a tent or bivvy for overnight fishing.
However, we strongly recommend a coarse fishing “bivvy”, as opposed to a large tent.
Fires and BBQ’s are not allowed.
However you’re welcome to use a small standard camping stove.
It’s imperative no damage is caused to the grass and surrounding flora & fauna.

Yes. We have the main toilet block situated next to “The Rig” in the car park, and a portaloo at the far end of the Brook Lake. See “Lake Layout”.
A day ticket runs from 6am to 6pm, and a bight ticket 6pm to 12 noon the next day.
If you’re only staying one night and leaving at, or before, midday the next day, the price is £20.
Should you wish to stay longer, it’s £30 per 24 hours. See “Pricing”
Just let the Bailiff know your plans, and remember, it’s cash only.
Generally, no child under the age of 12 is allowed to fish without adult supervision, and no unaccompanied under 16’s night fishing.
However, we may consider night fishing for under 16’s under certain conditions.

Yes. Juniors (16 and under), OAP’s and Disabled will qualify for a £5.00 discount per session based on the above rates. Minimum charge £10.00. Proof may be required to qualify for the discount.
Unfortunately we cannot allow vehicles onto the lakes and parking must be in the designated parking area.
However, it is only a very short walk to the lakes from the car park.

If the barrier is down (between 8pm and 6am), you’ll need to meet the delivery driver at the barrier.
Absolutely not.
As with all coarse fishing it is “catch and return”, and the health & safety of the fish is paramount.
All anglers are asked to be vigilant, and should they experience any sort of poaching, it must be reported to the police immediately.
Very quiet music is permissible, as long as it does not negatively affect any other anglers.
It’s very important that when catching a fish it is handled correctly to ensure no damage and minimum stress.
To this end we only allow barbless hooks, and you must have a good size landing net and unhooking mat (wet).
Should you wish to take a photo of the fish, please ensure you’re knelt and the fish is returned safely to the water as soon as possible.
